Sectional Dining Room Table Second was to heurter the two inside surfaces and also third was to taper all surfaces. I ended up tapering all 4 sides in the bandsaw. The cut collection begins 4" from the best and removes 1/2" at the end. Pic 2 shows exactly how little I removed. I needed the legs to have "shape" while remaining stout in look and this slight taper appeared about right. Pic two also shows the levelers in the bottom of these thighs which were salvaged from a earlier project.
Sectional Dining Room Table decided to keep the levelers and reduced the legs a bit. The table saw cannot cut some sort of leg this thick without having making 2 passes therefore i tapered them on my bandsaw. The bandsaw leaves a new rougher finish and that appeared even better on this rustic family table. I made a quick along with dirty jig to cut the actual legs which you can see within pic 3.
